This really cute primary book is about two girls going outside and having fun outside. Playing outside with friends is so much more fun than being by yourself, especially when you include imagination with it. This is perfect for kids to read for fun ( )

Overall a pretty good story, but when compared with the others in the series the plot was a bit thin. A lovely lesson in the end and cool Ladybug Girl illustrations, though, and a fun tone still make "Ladybug Girl and the Best Ever Playdate" a good choice. ( )

It's great that the Ladybug Girl series has introduced a black friend. The lesson of this book, though, isn't as well thought out as Bug Squad: in Bug Squad, Lulu sincerely apologises for the mistake she makes. In The Best Ever Playdate, Lulu denies having been more focused on the toy than her friend and doesn't apologise. ( )
