The book had a nice relatable theme of being worried about being left out or judged by others. But, the ending made me dislike this book for two reasons. Firstly, having the mystery item turn out to be spiders was too shocking. Many people, including myself, really fear spiders. When I read this I literally threw the book down. I can understand that the author may want to help people stop looking at spiders in a negative light, but because this fear is very common, the author should have known to ease the reader into the subject. I also found the teachers reaction in this story unrealistic. The illustrations and text paint her as intrigued and excited. Introducing thousands of spiders into the classroom would excite no teacher. This book has an unrealistic and stressful ending. I couldn’t wait for it to be over. The main idea of this book is to find positives in the unknown. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
