Age appropriateness: Intermediate, middle school
Reviw: This book is a great example of an informational book. It tells about the journey of a girl who retraced some of the places Laura Ingalls went that she wrote about in her books. It is written in third-person, but there are also excerpts from the girl's diary from the actual trip. The main character, Meribah, is round and static. Much is told about her childhood and why she likes the Laura Ingalls books. Throughout the story she doesn't change however, it just tells of her adventures and visits.
