This was okay. The ending has me perplexed, though. I think Zane and Emilie just became their own ancestors, but I'm not sure. I got kind of sick of Emile after awhile. She was annoying and pretty much ended up getting her way without having to compromise anything. The story was kind of odd and confusing and not entirely satisfying. ( )

I thought it was a great read. I didn't like the end where Emily knowing she is pregnant would rather stay in 18th century rather than have the convenience of modern day meds seemed highly unlikely. ( )

This time travel book takes Emelie and Zane, once married, back in time to the 13 colonies of the USA during the Revolution. Though not a book filled with facts it does give some idea of the differences in lifestyle that 200+ years can make. Will the two find love again? Will they stay in the past or return to the future? This is a book that also sets up further books in the series. An easy entertaining reading experience. ( )
