Very exciting, the first book I've read in German since I started learning the language. Very simple of course, and translations on facing pages, but I managed to read virtually all of it in German. The book was a little oddly sexist and mean spirited in places, but it kind of fit in with old-school German fables and stories family have told over the years. (
