Snowman Kit available to accompany this book Summary: This book is about a little girl named Sadie, Sadie love the winter because it would snow and she could build a snowman. Sadie would roll-up three big balls of snow and build a great snow man. She used Cookies for his eyes, apple for his nose, and a Banana to make his smile. The snowman would last a long time till the animals would come and take the food she used to make the snowman’s face. Then the snowman would melt away, then another snow storm came and she would build another snowman. This time she used crackers for his eyes, carrot for his nose, and a Zucchini for his smile. The snowman would last for a long time but the animals would come and take the food again. She had done this a couple of time till it became warm and the winter season was going away. So with the last one she made she kept the melted snow and placed it in the freezer till the next snow storm and she would build another snowman. Sadie just love winter when it snowed because she could build a snowman. Personal reaction: The book has great colors and illustrations in it, and is part of what most kids and family’s like doing in the winter when it snows. A great way to show how there are so many ways to build a snowman using food, and materials to make their faces. Classroom extensions: 1. There can be a time to build a snowman in the class with paper and cutout fruits and vegetables. 2. Look at different traditions, what they do during the winter when it snows. Have the students draw a picture of their winter time in the snow. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
