Well-executed parody of the generic romcom formula, with a stellar cast. The comedy tends more towards smile-and-nod-appreciatively than laugh-out-loud, though, even though it clearly wants to aim for the latter. All in all it's good fun, with some really funny scenes scattered throughout, but this really should (and could!) have been funnier and zanier overall. The DVD thankfully included over a half hour's worth of deleted scenes, about half of which were funnier than 90% of the actual film -- had the funniest 10-15 minutes of these been included (and some of the weaker stuff cut), this movie would have been really great. But I suppose comedy is subjective. ( )
