This book is a narrative biography of the life of Annie Oakley. It does tell the real story and contain many facts. It is designed to be entertaining to children and the pictures help illustrate what the times were like during Annie Oakley's childhood days. This book is a good example of a kids Biography because it is in a story format. This makes it easier for the children to understand and relate to. Of course the plot is very important in biographies because it has to be sequential and make sense. This book also does a very good job of that. The reader is engaged and wants to know what happen to Annie Oakley. ( )
