This causes her to have amnesia, and nightmares. soon more bodies turn up dead. Are they connected to her Mother's murder? Meanwhile her friend Henry takes her into an old haunted Mansion, where ghosts appear. Will these ghosts lead to the murderer? A well written psychological/thriller. Young Leo is very likable, she had to cope with her Mother's murder, and her relationship with her father. She has regular teen problems, along with murders in her town. As she gets close to solving the mystery surrounding her Mother, secrets are revealed and Leo could be in danger. I strongly recommend Don't Forget To Breathe to those who love a great psychological/thrill with a splash of supernatural. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

However, the story is good enough to overcome those obstacles. I typically avoid literature about teenagers, as I've gotten older I struggle more and more with the romantic part of these stories like, I imagine, most people my age do. This was not heavily romance driven. It was age appropriate for the characters. Everything that the kids do in this novel, with notable exception being perhaps the night club and the excessive freedom (though who knows how true to form this scenario is these days), is exactly what teenagers do and would likely do in the situation. They do not seem to be behaving beyond their years (Hello Gossip Girl and first episode martini bar!).
We are introduced to our heroine post traumatic event, post traumatic event recuperation where her life is picking back up, getting back on track. She is still determined to solve the murder of her mother and a new friend she had made is adding a new, rather aggressive and sometimes frightening aspect to this endeavor. As the end nears the suspense definitely climbs bringing you to the final confrontation with suspicions that are half on and way off at the same time.
This is a first person narration, definitely not my favorite. If you can wade through the, essentially, rough draft, and stick with the story it is worth the time. I enjoyed it. (
