This book, although brief in it's presentation of Albert Schweitzer's hospital in Lamberene (this information being an adaptation of another book previously published), does present more insight into Schweitzer's thoughts and actions regarding nuclear war. Many of the letters that Mr. Cousins has shared in this book have been "hitherto unpublished. . . from Dr. Schweitzer, Nehru, Eisenhower, Khrushchev, and Kennedy".
Schweitzer's life and work serves as inspiration to lift the human spirit, to be every mindful of the reference for life and how we have seen that one man can make a difference. ( )
