Usually when in our lives when we look for interesting things or people , we look too far and we forget the amazing things and people around us. However Rocket at the end figured out the special things in life. This will be a great read for social studies class to teach students about the true value of things. ( ) Rocket the dog is collecting 100 items for his 100th day of school. When some items go missing, Rocket gets a few of his friends to help him reach his goal of 100 things to bring to school. The placement of text in this story varies from page to page. The pictures are colorful and simple. Each drawing is set in front of a white background, but still successfully portray the story the author is telling. Rocket is having his 100th day of school and wants to find 100 things to bring. However, he picks the wrong hiding spot for them all. He put them in a tree with a squirrel named Bella. All his friends spend days helping him find 100 things, when the day comes, he noticed he is missing five acorns. Bella ate them. But they come up with a better idea. Rocket brings his 95 items plus his friends that helped him find them, making 100. Cute book with nice pictures. Great for young kids. With the celebrations of the 100th day of school becoming increasingly popular in early childhood classrooms, there's always room for another book on the topic. Fans of the Rocket series will enjoy that they can read this step into reading book. Rocket collects a slew of things, including acorns, and hides them in a tree.
