As a 'reread' - Listened as audio. I'd forgotten how sad this book made me feel. It was all about the death knoll of the relationship until it wasn't but the happy wasn't happy for long enough to combat the sad. I needed just a little bit more than 10 minutes of happy and one kiss.
And only having Jesse's pov meant that the ending came out of the blue and made the romance feel underdeveloped. ( )

Typical JL and perfect for me tonight. I see the pitfalls, but by now I learned to navigate JL's fiction and not to expect something he wouldn't offer anyway.
