If you have read the series so far you will remember Jenna from Leanna and Kurt’s story but Seaside Hearts is all about her. Jenna has liked Pete for years but Pete hasn’t given any indication that he likes her in that way. he problem is Pete does like her but he has other things he needs to focus on, like caring for his alcoholic dad, and keeping it quiet, it is quite a job in itself.

Summer is here and Jenna is fed up with waiting for Pete and decides after lots of encouragement from her friends to hook up with someone else. She does that but Pete is always there in her mind. And this summer Pete finally shows an interest, will it be too late though as a lot of Summers have gone past with nothing.

This is the typical will they, won’t they scenario but when they do it is hot, hot, hot.

I have been a faithful follower of Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom series, although the stories are predictable they still capture me completely. Yes I know they will get their HEA but the bits in between are so varied you would never guess what will happen. I really don’t know where Ms Foster gets her ideas from and so quickly too as she is bringing a new addition to the series in no time.

Every Melissa Foster book I read blows me away and I say every time that the book I am reading is the best Melissa Foster book I have read!….then I read the next one and boom! Completely bowled over!
Seaside Heart is by far my favorite (at the time of posting) book in this series…so far!
It is the story of Jenna and Pete. Jenna has love Pete for 5 years, but he has yet to notice her! But after her mother’s bizarre behavior Jenna has had enough! Enough of her mother and enough of being over looked by Pete (even though she does it to herself). So she plans her next move, she tells her Mom that until she gets herself back to normal she won’t see her this summer. She also plans to put aside her secret love for Pete and move on…to the hunky contractors on the island.
Pete has noticed Jenna, but she is always so painfully shy around him, but herself with her friends. He don’t want a shy miss, he wants someone that is confident in her own skin. Then Jenna makes a date with a contractor and it drives Pete insane. But that is not the only issue that is going on in his life…his family makes life complicated from him too.
This story is beautiful and I give it a 10 out 0f 10! I am now addicted to this series and will wait impatiently until the next book is released

Seaside Hearts by Melissa Foster is an exciting Contemporary Romance. #2 in "Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers" series, but can be read as a stand alone. Filled with lust, romance, laughter, and love, you can't go wrong with "Seaside Hearts". This is a hot, steamy romance with adult situations, flawed characters, who are enduring and complicated to say the least. If you enjoy laughter, as well as lust, you have to meet Jenna Ward and Pete Lacroux. With grief, adversity, finding happiness and longing for love, Ms. Foster has written tale that is realistic, and will steal your heart. Well done! Oh, did I mention, the hot, hot sensuality, well let me tell you, you will need a fan. An enjoyable as well as satisfying read. A must read for any contemporary romance reader as well as any one who enjoys a wonderful tale of love and all it entails.

It's a been a while since I have read an Adult Contemporary Romance that had me yearning for more. Seaside Hearts won my heart, especially Pete. Pete wormed his way into my heart and has current possession of it. He is one of the most thoughtful and caring book boyfriend I have read in an Adult story.

He lifted her chin. "No. It means I've memorized exactly what it takes to satisfy you. Sixty-seven seconds on each side, held about five inches from the fire, then twenty seconds from the tip of the marshmallow aimed directly at the flames, but a few inches away so it doesn't burn."

If that doesn't say thoughtful and romantic, I don't know what does.

Jenna and her friends conversations were ones I kept wanting to read. Those conversations had me grinning and laughing at times. They are so carefree and enjoying life that you can't help but want what all four of them have: their friendship.

I admire Jenna for never giving up on Pete after all those years. She knew what her heart wanted and she kept pursuing it, even if she would get all flustered and would barely speak a word to Pete, which is why he always was confused as to how Jenna was feeling about him because she would be all shy around him. It took making Pete jealous so he could realize he has always had a spot in his heart for Jenna, he just hadn't realized it before.

Over the years, he had watched and knew exactly what she liked and disliked, her favorite restaurant, what she liked to do, etc. Pete is a very observant man and those are very hard to come by.

The sexual tension...I was swooning and fanning my face and taking deep breaths because I was feeling the heat! It was before they kissed for the time and I was already going crazy, imagined when the real action happened. Pete Lacroux will satisfy your needs. Add to that his romantic gestures, and he will worm into your heart as well. ( )
