Sometimes the little head really does know best.Jeff White's needs are simple. All he wants is an experienced submissive to help him explore the dominant side that his ex-girlfriend couldn't handle. Problem is, Jeff's inexperience in both dating and domming is really putting the girls off. What Jeff needs is some guidance from an experienced sub. Unfortunately, the only sub willing to take on the challenge is a man, and Jeff is straight. One hundred percent straight... isn't he?Easygoing painslut Eddie Powell doesn't care about Jeff's inexperience. Eddie likes a bit of rough, and Jeff fits the bill perfectly. The trick will be convincing him to follow Eddie's five-step training programme--which would be easy if Eddie wasn't starting to have feelings for the rough-around-the-edges landscaper.Once Jeff lays his hands on Eddie, things definitely get out of hand. But it'll take more than hot, sweaty, kinky sex to persuade him to come out of the closet--especially to himself.Warning: Contains a happy sub, a confused Dom, a high ratio of sex to plot, misuse of root ginger, and a suitcase of kink. Written in Jo's usual exceedingly "English" English.… (más)

Humiliation kink is so not my thing but it was done absolutely perfectly in this book. I have never read a book that so clearly showed just how strong the sub can be, even when he or she is on their knees for their Dom. I think this is because the sub in this story was also acting as the Dom's teacher.

4.5 star review by Karen at ScuttlebuttReviews

What a great and fun read! From the time we meet first Jeff and Eddie, they light up the page.

Poor Jeff is ill at ease in double denim, desperately looking for a submissive and not getting anywhere. His conversational skills are sadly lacking and he is losing hope. He’s gardening for Eddie’s friends, and Eddie takes a shine to him. Eddie will be his sub so that Jeff can get some Dom practice and be ready for the right sub (who will of course be female).

And off they go! Now, of course Jeff isn’t gay, and of course Eddie isn’t starting to have feelings for him. Of course not.

One of Jo Myles' greatest strengths is often in her characters, and there is no disappointment here. Eddie and Jeff are so likeable; their realization that they are developing feelings for each other is lovely and hesitant. This balances really well with the heat of the sexual relationship, which is really scorching (and it’s unusual for me to comment on sex in a book – so trust me it’s something else).

Another thing that Jo does well is to write sympathetic female characters. Eddie’s best friend is no exception, and I loved the conversations between her and Eddie.

How to Train Your Dom is a great, fun, and a sexy book. ( )
