Two emotionally complicated individuals trying to move on from past mistakes and never managing to let go. Vincent and Lisa's relationship seems like a toxic, self-destructive obsession. For Vincent forgetting the one that got away has not been easy, for Lisa she has tried to move on in a more stable direction but has bad boy Vincent has never been far from her thoughts. Bad decisions are made by both in the quest to find escape from the painful reality that they just may be the one individual that the other cannot live without. A deep meaningful at times frustrating story of two troubled people seeking to find their soulmate. Good story. I received an ARC of Rebel Ink by Laura Wright for an honest review. Whole lot of emotions packed into this short book. I loved the humor throughout and Vincent is one dirty man but behind that man-ho façade is one messed up man with a heartbreaking secret. We met Vincent who is Rush’s friend and works at the tattoo shop with him and Lisa is who Addison’s best friend in the first two books. Vincent was pretty much the same person he was at the start of this book, a nasty foul mouth man-ho. Lisa was also pretty crazy and free in the sex department in those books but after some disappointments after graduating college she ran back home to rich mommy and daddy and agree to marry a clean cut guy to live the white picket fence life. Addison kidnaps her and brings her back to Vegas to try and talk some sense into her. This reunites Vincent and Lisa who act like they cant stand each other but deep down they’ve always been attracted to the other. After a night of heavy drinking they wake up on a plane that takes them to Vincent’s home town, a place he ran from years ago to try and escape some ugly childhood memories. Here is where the story gets deep. I love books that are full of angst yet also having you laughing so hard your almost crying. This book blended both things perfectly and I look forward to more of each couple’s stories. Oh my GAWD! Vincent is a HUGE surprise. And he is soooooooo perfect for Lisa. I think I fell in love with him a little bit too. Jeez that little blast from the past was totally unexpected. I thought Rush and Addison were perfect but V and Lis are so much more. Way to go Lisa, you really stepped up for V, hang in there and please don't go back to that life, look onwards. Laura Wright you've done it again. Just please don't leave me hanging so long this time. I don't think I can take it. Already going through withdrawal symptoms. I NEED MORE Vincent and Lisa Free copy provided in exchange for an honest review. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
