What a tedious tome. Skip it. ( )

I am not sure if this would have been as likable if I had not read the other books in the series, as there was a rather lot of 'in jokes'. but since I had read them, I did like it quite a lot. ( )

Great beginning, falters at end.

Princess Dagmar Marie Sophie is a great character.

The suspense subplot falls flat on its face at the end of the book. Not fun to read. ( )

If you enjoyed MacAlister's three earlier romances set in this time period then you'll love this one, which gives you a main couple very similar to the previous three and reunites all the main characters for all sorts of mischief. It's a fun, light read. [I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.] ( )
