I have to preface by saying that I haven't gotten my hands on book two, so I had to skip ahead to book three. Isabelle's books all have a theme of her growing and learning and becoming more confident. Yes, she's a dancer and designer and she's focused on her own struggles, but the real themes of the books seem to be about choosing to be positive, work hard, and overcome those problems. One of these days I'll track down book two. Note - as someone who likes ballet and sewing, Isabelle gets bonus points from me. ( )
