This book is very simple, but presents a message about the way that sometimes things don't turn out the way you think that they might. I like the illustrations of the story, but am not a fan of the way that the story ended. I'm not sure that it had the message that I was looking for.
In the classroom I think that this story is a good way to show how children can use repetition in stories. It also is a great example of the way that illustrations can tell a story-- this story could be told without the words.. and might even be better that way.
