Every woman wants to be with him and men want to be inked by him. But Rush had his heart ripped out 5 years ago by his childhood sweetheart and he’s refused to talk to her since. Addison regretted immediately what she had done to Rush and has thought about it every day for 5 years needing to explain and apologize but Rush refuses her letters and calls. With her friend along for support she shows up at a convention he is working hoping to be able to finally speak to him. She gets that talk and a lot more. You couldn’t help but fall in love with Rush from the moment you met him. He’s the epitome of cool.. Looks like this is the first in what’s going to be a series. I can’t wait to read more and hopefully find out what really went down between Addison’s friend and one of Rush co-workers. What the...talk about attraction! These two were hot! I could feel their strong connection. Even with the short time provided to sell it to me, I believed it all completely. I feel in love with Rush too! Gah! I just wanted more. This story is an AMAZING outline for a much bigger/better series. If the writer would have spent a little time drawing things out and telling a little more of their story, this book would have been a favorite of mine. I am definitely going to read book 2 next, but it looks like it's short too. :( It's really a shame because I could see this series being a hit with a big following if it was a little more developed. Laura Wright- Pull this series and develop it! It would be an enormous hit!!! First Ink is a short story introducing us to the lives of Rush and Addison, two individuals that use to be inseparable but stupid decisions and circumstance tore them apart. Five years later Addison wants the chance to tell Rush how she feels and she goes to great lengths to do so. I was swept away reading First Ink. I personally don't read contemporary romances that often, let alone NA material but this one sucked me in and I devoured it in one sitting before quickly purchasing the next installment in the Wicked Ink Chronicles. I not only fell in love with the story itself but with the characters. Rush and Addison are relatable and their thoughts are genuine and realistic. I wanted to root for the two of them and was biting my nails, waiting for them to figure things out. First Ink was an extraordinary introduction in Wright's Wicked Ink world and I am eager for more! The story is one that I feel we all can relate two and while yes it can be slightly predictable, it is the feel good story with the epic leaps for love that we all secretly crave. 4.5 stars sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

For the past five years, Rush has been nursing a broken heart and refusing all contact with Addison, but then he finally has to deal with the past when she shows up at his exhibit. Though he hates her, he still loves her
I love stories featuring tatted men, especially sexy-as-hell tattoo artists! Rush was deliciously wicked and foul-mouthed. Both Addison and Rush were pretty foolish when they were seventeen—she for taking their relationship for granted, and he for not giving her a chance to explain—but desperation and heartbreak makes people do crazy things.
Most of the story focused on the H/h’s emotions and internal conflict, and less with the world around them. I really wish there would’ve been more information about Addison’s family and why she was in foster care. I would also like to know how Rush became a well-sought-after artist.
The story has a HFN ending, but their story is continued in a second book. I’m really interested to know what happened with Lisa and Vincent (Rush’s tattoo artist friend and coworker).
I enjoyed Ms. Wright’s writing style, and though I normally don’t read 1st person narrative, I found this story easy to follow.
