A great visualization of baby growing in mother and the questions children may ask along the way. I love how the size of the baby is shown in each picture.

The only improvements I'd make are some word choices: the book teaches that the baby grows in the uterus and comes out of the vagina. This is good! However, the child is correct when asked if the baby is growing in the tummy. I'd actually say tummy is like saying abdomen so to me, the answer is Yes, in the uterus part not the stomach part. The baby is called the baby throughout, rather than at any point being identified as a fetus before being born. Lastly, the umbilical cord is called a twisty tube.

So, this book is great, but the book limits correct terminology to the specific female parts rather than also using correct words for stomach, fetus, and umbilical cord.

This book is about a family with a mom who is pregnant. the children learn about the baby inside the tummy.

For starters this book gets my attention because there's an interracial family. I love it. The book basically tells what's inside of mommy, where it is, how it grows and so on. I think this is great because it really tells where the baby Is and perfectly explains what it looks like from start to finish. some would say its a little much for children but it's prefect for those of 4-6. its not gory or explicit its just super informative and really helps opens a child's eyes as to how it looks and grows and time goes by.
