Ok, so there may have been a point where I was so sure I had read this exact book before that I had to look up my goodreads account to make sure, but the book swiftly moved off from that somewhat repetitive survivor's club beginning and into a sweet and lovely romance. I love the spark of our heroiine (with great stealth, indeed) and I appreciate the unselfpitying stubborness of our hero. I also enjoy meddling estranged grandfathers, so altogether Hooray, hooray! ( )

Sort of middle of the road for me. I liked the characters decently but didn't feel super attached. And they were kind of sweet together but I wasn't really caught up emotionally. And I tend to like road trip romances and heroes working through something significant (which this one definitely was). Balogh is a good writer, I just wasn't especially feeling this one. Not bad, just fine. ( )

This one was an absolute disappointment. She is stuck in a situation not of her liking . He is stuck in a situation not of his liking. They talk and talk and talk. It is not very witty talk. Not particularly engaging. Not particularly interesting. The characters are bland. The book is bland. Couldn't wait for it to end. ( )
