This book is for higher readers and has a lot of bigger vocabulary words though it gives great information along with great illustrations to help students understand the life of a salmon. I would use this book in my class because this is a local animal that is very popular as well as it connects to culture. To Native Americans the salmon is a huge part of their culture which I feel this book can tie to learning about native Americans and some of their traditions and beliefs as well as in the science of the life cycle of a salmon. ( ) This is an informational book through the use of poetic descriptions of the life cycle of salmon. The pictures are eye-catching and lifelike, and it will be a valuable supplemental informational text for our salmon unit. This book follows salmon from their forma s eggs in a stream all the way to the ocean, eventually making their hazardous journey back to their home stream. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
