Tracey Garvis Graves--and Anna and T.J.--return in this companion novella to the New York Times bestseller On the Island. When twenty-three-year-old dot-com millionaire Owen Sparks walked away from his charmed life, he had one goal in mind: get as far away as possible from the people who resented his success, or had their hand out for a piece of it. A remote uncharted island halfway around the world seemed like a perfectly logical place to get away from it all. Calia Reed wasn't part of Owen's plans. The beautiful British girl--on holiday in the Maldives with her brother, James--made Owen wonder if getting away from it all might be a lot more enjoyable with a carefree girl who didn't know anything about the life he left behind. But Owen had no idea how much his carefully detailed plans would go awry. Nor did he realize that a decision he made would have such a catastrophic effect on two passengers who boarded a plane in Chicago. And when Owen shows up at Anna and T.J.'s door with an incredible story to tell, everyone involved will learn just how much their lives are intertwined. Uncharted includes an early look at Covet, coming September 2013  … (más)

This story was interesting because it filled in some background from [b:On the Island|15505346|On the Island (On the Island #1)|Tracey Garvis-Graves|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1339162550s/15505346.jpg|18151286] which I loved, but it was ultimately just okay. It started out very slow and dragged until the other two people got to the island. Then it picked up and you became vested in the characters but by that time half or more of the story was already over. The first half could have been trimmed drastically and the back half, the more important half could have been given more time.

Still it was well written and fun to see Anna and TJ again. So for those who've already read, On the Island it will be a worthwhile read. ( )

An interesting coda to On the Island. Of course, I should have read this much closer to when I finished On the Island. ( )

Even though this is a prequel to On the Island you should read this AFTER and not before because it contains too many spoilers. The story is about Owen, a young self-made million, who just wants to get away from the world. He goes to an island in the Maldives thus forever intertwining his life with those of Anna and TJ.

A great follow up story to On the Island. I am glad to know the story behind the bones that Anna and TJ found in the cave. The two stories fit nicely together and enjoyed revisiting the island. ( )

I had to read this because I loved On the Island and I was interested to read this novella in order to learn more about the island as well as to see how JT and Anna were doing.

I was happy with the parts about JT and Anna, but I have to say that as I read I was just not as into the story about Owen. It explained some things and I appreciated some of the secrets that were revealed, but other than that I really didn't care so much about that part of the story.

This and On the Island were my first books by this author. I am interested in trying out some of her other work. 3.5 stars ( )
