This book is about John Calvi's work as a Quaker healer. It is a mosaic of written pieces the author set down over the course of thirty year's work to try to understand himself, his healing work, spiritual honesty, and giving over to Divine leadings.

John has worked for the past decade with people with AIDS and tortured refugees in the United States and Canada. His workshops on healing from trauma and avoiding burnout have been used in prisons, hospitals, and crisis organizations to make compassion pragmatic and decrease stress. Recognized by his Monthly Meeting in Putney, Vermont, to have a true leading on, John is a Released Friend living primarily on gifts.
