I read this straight after 'Escorted' and it was nice to see Ander and Lori settled. and to bring closure. ( )

I fell in love with Lori and Ander in Escorted but I'm having mixed feelings about Breaking. ( )

“BREAKING“, by Claire Kent (the erotica pen-name of author Noelle Adams), is an 86 page follow-up novella to her 350+ page novel, “Escorted“. Xander and Lori are engaged; he is actively working archaeological sites for his doctoral dissertation and she is an award winning romance writer. However, something has happened that has caused Xander to feel the detachment he did when he first met Lori – as a male escort hired to relieve her of her virginity. This novella is about their continuing battle to find their way together through the minefield of their pasts.

Claire Kent did another great job with this story. Per the norm for her, this is erotic romance at its best. Sex scenes are believable and very ~hot~, but even better, Ms. Kent allows the reader to get into Lori & Xander’s minds and feel for them. This could easily be read as a standalone story, but it would be better to read after having read “Escorted” – simply so you can understand why the “issue” that occurs in this novella is so debilitating to Xander. It’s nice to “catch up” with Lori and Xander and see that their relationship made it. ( )

I enjoyed this short story about Lori and Ander. I fell in love with them in Escorted and will read anything about them!!! My only wish is that it had been a full length book instead but Claire did an amazing job of putting it all together and leaving me feeling as satisfied as a full length book. My only hope is that there will be more books in the future to make this a series. I am a Claire Kent fan now though and look forward to see what she has in store for us.
