The idea of Erik losing his entire life, including his lover, only to discover years later than Kerry is still alive had me deciding I would read it despite the slight fear it would be utterly depressing. And boy, did the author hold me in suspense. The events dragged me along, the characters fascinated and infuriated me in equal measure, and the tension was almost unbearable in places. So much so that I was tempted to skip ahead and read the ending first. I hate myself when I do that, but let me tell you, with this book it was a close call! If you like tension-filled stories with lots of angst and drama, if you want to experience what it's like to have your heart ripped out then put back together again, and if you think you're up to following these characters into hell and back, then you will probably like this book as much as I did.
