Her descriptions of alcoholism and mental illness were not politically correct, but she foresaw very well the state of the United States many years after many of these essays were written. ( ) This little book is letters and articles she wrote for the progressive magazine The Nation. Thought I had seen some of these before it was great to have them all in one place. Molly Ivins wrote about Texas politics with such humor but didn't hide how bad much of it really was. Did we ever wonder if some of those politicians from Texas were really as dumb as they seem. Molly could have told us, yes they are that dumb. Molly died in 2007 of breast cancer. Her too soon death was a loss to us all. Many still miss her funny accurate writing. As always, Molly is a delight. From the perception of 2021, she is scary in her predictions and prognostications for the political future. So many things she makes note of appearing in her time have bloomed into full blown horror for the country. Every bad thing has gotten worse, every warning went unheeded. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
