Methinks not. http://alittleteaalittlechat.wordpress.com/2013/05/20/children-of-the-sun-maxim-... A play about a researcher who does some nebulous sort of chemistry research. It is set during the Russia Revolution of 1905. Most of the play revolves around various love affairs and day to day lives of a family led by a patriarch who is a scientist looking for - well, that's not clear, but it seems to be very important. The family doesn't think it matters, and he should be more involved with them and take responsibility for running the household. The play presents chemistry as the gateway to hell, with several references to sulfurous odors and strange doings. The town, stricken with cholera, decides the problem must be the professor's experiments. An interesting, if somewhat dated, look at how science was viewed in the early twentieth century,. a discipline that provided no human goods and was something to be suspicious of, perhaps a contract with the devil himself. Well written, though with some stylistic touches that at times interfere with the reading. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
