This story is told from his POV, therefore we are given a glimpse at his insecurities, demons, and most of all his emotions. Rebecca's fate has left him reeling and unhinged. He is unable to control his emotions and he finds this most unnerving. A must read as we wait for the conclusion of this trilogy in Revealing Us coming this September 10. The Master Undone finally sheds some humanity on The Master. In the previous books in this series, Mark is a hard character to like. He always exudes confidence and ownership. With the revelations at the end of Being Me along with the decline in his mother's health, the carefully controlled facade is breaking. Enter Crystal, to add some more chips to that facade. He can't ruffle her feathers, she's smart, strong and confident. And in true LRJ style, they have a super sexy night. The master truly becomes undone. I can only hope to read more about Mark. He's so cold, you know there's more behind his story, but you can't quite figure it out. It was a good, sexy novella, and I can't wait to see what happens next for Mark and Crystal! The Master Undone is well written, entertaining and sexy. The book works as a stand alone title despite being part of a larger series. Mark's POV is a strong and authentic male voice. This moment in Mark's life is difficult. He's struggling with dark emotions and guilt associated with Rebecca, his former submissive's tragic death. His grief is compounded with worry and stress over his beloved mother's ailing heath. Mark's pain distracts and interferes with his usual ease of dominance and control. Equally distracting is Crystal, the strong-willed and sensual blond beauty Mark can't stop fantasizing about. From their first encounter, Crystal stirs something deep inside of him. Her feisty intelligence, straightforward honesty and defiant assertiveness command his attention. Mark's attraction to Crystal challenges everything he always thought he desired and required in a lover. When Mark and Crystal finally get together, the sex is explosive and raw. The two lovers engage in a sizzling power struggle, refusing to relinquish control to the other. So good. The deliciously descriptive sex scene's length is shorter than I had hoped, but no less pleasurable. Then, just as things are getting gloriously hot, the story ends. I wanted more than a tantalizing taste of these two interesting characters. Novellas are short by definition but The Master Undone is a bit too brief and ends too abruptly to be truly satisfying. I was curious to try Lisa Renee Jones' erotic fiction and jumped into the Inside Out Series with this novella. I'm now inspired to start the entire series from the beginning. I'd really like to get to know Mark and to understand the infamous Rebecca. ARC courtesy of Pocket Star via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

One woman will reach out to heal him and then turn away, leaving him haunted. She is nothing he thought he wanted, and somehow everything he needs. He tells himself to forget her, but he cannot escape his desire for her. He has to have more... No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Crystal is presenting as an intriguing character, she has no fear of Mark, she’s a control freak, she’s willing to ask for help when necessary, and she has Mark completely unglued.
I enjoyed the short view into the lives of Marks’ Mother and Father, and hope that their characters might be expanded upon now that the series will include additional books.
The writing was good, the flow even, the story tension strong, and I look forward to more of this series.
