I just love how Ruthie Knox mixes hot sex with characters who are complex and have conflicts that are believable. This story is no exception. Amber's a good girl who's tired of playing that role. Tony's past carries a tragedy he can't forgive himself for. They get trapped in the dark, share parts of themselves they would rather hide, then give into their lust. And those chapters are hot! Knox captures so well the fear of being vulnerable and trusting and lets us really get into both their heads. It's a short read but a really good one. ( )

This is short & sweet (and pretty hot). I am a big Ruthie Knox fan.

This novella is really just about the beginning of the relationship, and the first in the series, so I''m hoping to see more of them. Ultimately, though, it's still satisfying--Tony would even be a book boyfriend if it were a longer book.
