Greece is a country that is made up of about 50 islands,while the mainland is made up of rugged mountains, dense forests, and lakes. The weather is hot, dry summers, ad mild, wet winters, but it changes based on the area's elevation, and closeness to the sea. Three-quarters of the mainland are mountains. Greece lies on a fault line between two of the huge tectonic plates that make up the surface of the Earth. The habitats Greece has is, woodlands, forests, alpine meadows, grassy plains, and dry stony areas. Back in ancient times, the country was split into city-states, the city mayor back then was the king of the city, it was like that until 338 B.C.E.

I gave the book 4 stars because, for along time I wanted to know about Greece, modern and ancient Greece. The book covers Modern and Ancient Greece, which I wanted to know about. There was one bad thing about it that made it have 4 stars instead of 5, only one chapter was about it's history! Each chapter had lots of important information, but sometimes I wish they had given more information about a certain topic. Since here are text boxes that have extra facts, and there lots of them, and they give interesting facts, so they are very helpful. There was a very interesting fact, Atlantis was based of a event that happened in Greece actually! ( )
