This is the first time I have read this story. I am always a little hesitate when reading a novella because most of the time they are unsatisfying. However this is the perfect novella. Ms. Oak isn't trying to establish a new relationship between three or more people. This story is about one night with Zane, Nate and Callie. It was great getting a look into the everyday life of these three wonderful people. It is also great the Bliss is willing to make sure these three stay happy and fulfilled. The scene with Caleb talking to Zane about what Callie needs is very funny. I was impressed that Nate was so quick to start making plans for a romantic night for Callie.

It was also great to get a peek at the developing relationship between Stef and Jen. The announcement of Jen's is unexpected but very wonderful as is Stef's reaction to that announcement. It was great that Stef realizes that he would like to have a child while watching Charlie and Zander. I think that babysitting was a good experience for Stef.

This is the perfect short story. It advances an existing relationship and provides insight into another. The sex scene is hot and passionate and renewing. ( )
