I freely chose to review this book from an unknown author. I loved the way Molly Malone stood up for herself and built a small but successful contracting business to build a prestigious housing development. All she needed was a big wad of cash from an investigator to make her dream a reality. In an all male business Molly first had problems with them showing respect in her field, but she quickly put a team together that were almost like friends who respected her talents. I fell in love with Paul Farnsworth the moment he set eyes on Molly and hoped that he didn't confuse Molly for his deceased wife, and I was giddy with joy when their relationship grew to much more than business! Both the main characters and secondary characters have interesting stores and backgrounds to add interest and depth. I enjoyed how Paul and Molly met and sparked an interest in each other. I feel like the balance of her upbringing in wealth and his current wealth worked well with the story and neither were concerned about personal money. I do feel like there was a lot of dancing around their issues that could have easily been resolved with a five minute conversation, but instead the hurt and confusion was dragged out for weeks or longer. The characters jobs, homes, and excursions were interesting and made for a good story. There were several grammatical errors throughout and it was repetitive or long between action at times. Overall it was an easy fun read and I would definitely check out more from this author in the future. Esta reseña ha sido escrita para Sorteo de miembros LibraryThing. How refreshing to read a romance with no explicit sex scenes that I need to hide from my teenagers.A feel nice book to read with all the correct element, the tall dark and handsome guy, the independent you lady and off course the few nasty characters as well. The characters are realistic and you can sympathise with Molly Malone Enjoyable book to read Esta reseña ha sido escrita para Sorteo de miembros LibraryThing. The story is about a woman determined to build a high-end housing development. Such a big dream for a woman who is essentially on her own, some people may think. That doesn't stop Molly for going full speed ahead. Molly needs to find someone that will help her go forward with the building with much needed funds. She meets Paul, who will hopefully be her answer to building this big project . The author touches on the strained relationship between Molly and her dad, which explains her determination to do the impossible task some people think she won't finish. There is romance blooming between Molly and Paul that makes the story fun as they explore their feelings. At times it seemed like maybe they were holding back a bit. Is it possible they have secrets they are hiding from each other? Molly's character was very well developed . The author shows how working in a "man's world " can sometimes be difficult but Molly had such heart and enthusiasm for the project which helped get respect from others who had doubted her. The book at times did slow a little but overall the story was written with characters who were inspiring and fun to read about. It was a light hearted book that is perfect for an enjoyable day to relax , get comfortable and enjoy a well written story . I received a copy of this book from Librarything for an honest review. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Nothing-Ventured is a warm and vibrant rendering of a story about a young woman out to prove her worth to society. Although she came from a very wealthy family, she had a falling-out with her father who thought that she could not handle what life had in store, so she set out on her own. She developed a small business utilizing her love of restoring old Victorian mansions and made quite a name for herself in the business world. As they say, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” Her father was also quite a mogul in the business world and famous for his investments and enormous wealth. While looking for investors for her development project of building a group of Victorian reproductions, Molly makes the acquaintance of Paul, who is a lawyer for an investment consortium. Love at first sight was incorporated in this charming tale including a steamy romance. Molly’s independence and fear of her own self-reliance added to the daily problems that tried to keep the lovers apart. I was gifted this novel in the hopes of a good review and I would be delighted to read it again. Book was gift for a review and have it online ( )
