It described how the main character and his family celebrated Kwanzaa. It provided illustrations to describe what was being discussed through the story. They were also used to enhance the reading by adding some extra facts on top of what was being read in the main text. It also added in historical facts and other information about Kwanzaa in general, as well as how those facts related to the main character and his family. The main idea of the story is to educate other children on a holiday that is not very popular throughout America. This holiday is on the decline, so this story allows others to learn about it whereas otherwise they might not be educated on it. ( ) This book gives a lot of details about Kwanzaa, from its history to decorations. It is set up in very small chapters, which almost do not have to be there because it is an E book. I like how the book dose gives a lot of factual information about this holiday. It also gives directions on how to make a Kwanzaa drum in the back, along with a glossary. Very good for exploring traditions of various cultures. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
