Genre: children's picture book. This book talks about having a new baby in the house, and changes the family, and Simon, the big brother, experiences. This book can be used with the "Access and use Prior Knowledge" strategy because students can use personal experience to relate to Simon, the main character in the book. Students can draw from prior knowledge, the sum total of what they've experience throughout their lives- babies in their own family, families they have met, babies in extended family and relatives, their friends families, etc.
