An intense, emotional, soulful, passionate journey of two people.

We met Sarah Johnson in the first book. Her husband had been killed in Afghanistan the day after she delivered their daughter. Where Hunter from the first book made a promise while Jake died in his arms to always look out for Sarah and their child, Ethan, who was also a childhood friend of both Jake and Hunter was there for Sarah through her whole pregnancy and was there in the delivery room when she came into the world. Ethan and Sarah have always had a wonderful friendship and he loves Kylee like she is his own.

Then at the wedding of Hunter and Morgan their feelings change from friendship to attraction. Neither of them was prepared for this change in their relationship and they both make many mistakes on the road to love.

While they are trying to figure out things a rapist is on the loose and he is striking just mere houses away from where Sarah lives. Ethan owns a security company and immediately sets up a security system at Sarah’s house and assigns one of his men, Austin to keep an eye on her. When Sarah starts receiving blue roses we realize the rapist has set his eyes on Sarah. The author gives us the rapist POV in the book and it’s a very disturbing look into the mind of a sick twisted person.

There wasn’t a time in this book you weren’t on the edge of your seat either for screaming at Sarah and Ethan to work out there issues or for fearing for the next victim and when he would finally come after Sarah.

But just when things seem to go right, Ethan's doubts about himself flair up and he feels like he is too much like his unfaithful parents to actually be in something comitted. But then a serial rapist turn serial killer has got Sarah in his sights and Ethan is determined to protect her and Kylee from anything that could hurt them, including himself. But soon Ethan realizes he has made a mistake in not only his feelings, but in her protection too! But is it too late???

I can honestly say I absolutely loved this book as much as the first Bodyguards of LA County series. The writing and plot are once again superb, the book isn't long winded and the chapters haven't been padded out. The characters are likable, though we saw quite a lot of Hailey and Austin in this book, so I'm hoping we will see them in their own.

Overall Falling for Sarah is a thrilling romantic suspense that I look forward to reading again and again, which is why I give it 5 stars!

Cate Beauman is a master storyteller, so I was very happy to have the chance to read Falling for Sarah. The rollercoaster romance with the lingering danger has captivated me.

Sarah has a new baby and her hubby will be home from deployment soon. Ethan, who owns Cooke Security, has been there to fill the gap until he returns. As he changes Kylee’s diaper, while Sarah showers, he talks to himself.

“This stuff’s like cement. I’d rather be in an alley with three Uzis pointed at my head.”

Paints a pretty sexy picture in my head,the macho man afraid of breaking the baby.

Then…their world came crashing down. My heart broke for Sarah.

I saw the conflict coming. Sexual attraction and frustration. How long can they stay apart? Sarah and Ethan struggle to work through their feelings of doubt over moving on after the death of her husband, not wanting to lose their best friend. I want to slap them both upside the head with their on again off again, yes and no affair. Just get over yourselves. At times, I felt it went on a bit too long, but when you think about real life, how often have we all flipflopped over a difficult decision. I know I have.

A serial rapist is running rampant in her neighborhood and we all know where that will take us, but what a ride! Have you ever felt the hairs raising on the back of your neck, your spidey sense tingling, telling you someone is watching?

HE’s furious that he can’t get to her. All the serial killer cliches apply as he escalates to a fever pitch. He is obsessed, making plans for their special day. His sick and twisted thoughts made me think of Criminal Minds.

Oh no, I think I got on a ramble and I hope I didn’t share too much. What I talked about was predictable, so I don’t feel I spoiled anything. The real story is in the gritty details that kept me in suspense. I knew what’s coming, yet I could hardly wait to get there.

The pacing and suspense for Falling for Sarah by Cate Beauman kept me reading from beginning to end. Cate’s ability to write a story I have read before and still keep me on pins and needles is what makes her an author that will be on my radar.

I am in love with The Bodyguards of LA. In this installment Owner Ethan Cooke is falling hard for his best friend’s wife, Sarah. Two years ago, her husband was killed in action in Afghanistan, only hours after their daughter was born. Ethan in his role of family friend had been there for Sarah throughout her pregnancy and even stood in for Jake during Kylee’s birth. After Jake’s death, Ethan was there to help Sarah and her baby girl.

When Ethan kisses Sarah, the relationship is irrevocably changed and he must come face to face with his insecurities if he is to find a way for them to be together. Meanwhile a serial rapist has Sarah in his sights and it will take Ethan and the rest of his team to protect her.

I seriously enjoyed this book, but Ethan has some issues. As a family friend he is simply the best, but as a boyfriend he kind of sucks. His own family history has him second guessing himself and it was tough keeping up on which Ethan I was going to read about next. It was obvious from the first page though, that Ethan and Sarah had the potential to be a great couple. The love story provides a great background for the thriller.

This book does not skimp on the suspense. Though the reader is let into the rapist’s brain early in the book, it doesn’t slow down the story at all. He is creepy, his ability to be everywhere and manipulate/use any given situation is downright scary.

This story has a bit of something for just about everyone. A transcending friendship that is more family than friendship, as Hunter and Ethan keep their promise to look after Sarah and Kylee for the fallen Jake. A thrill a minute roller coaster ride as Ethan vies with an evil stalker to protect he woman he loves. A solid love story that tugs at the heart and, at times, infuriates. Readers will laugh and they will cry.
