Great read! It's centered around the holidays but it's truly a story of coming home and fighting for those you love. After serving in Afghanistan, Joaquin Morales comes back to Holland Springs to claim the only woman he has ever loved, and it just so happens, she's his wife. Sage Caswell may think she's over Joaquin but he intends to prove her wrong. You want to read this one!! ( )

It's Christmas time in Holland Springs and we are back for another visit!
We meet Joaquin Morales and Sage Caswell , our star crossed lovers. Their romance has been described by some town people as reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet.
They were young lovers , and despite all the forces working against them, secretly married and started to plan their idyllic life. It was not to be, as actions beyond their control, including their families, tore them apart. That was four years ago.
A little more than twenty-four hours earlier, Joaquin returned to the states after his tours in Afghanistan and Iraq as a decorated Army sniper. He came straight to Holland Springs with one mission in mind. Get Sage back and spend Christmas together.
Sage has spent the years apart getting her college degree, and is now a teacher in Holland Springs. They have never stopped loving each other, and are still married. But, their families still hate each other!
As I have said in previous reviews, Ms. Valentina's descriptions are amazing. You feel like your walking a slushy cold street in Holland Springs. The air, the scents, and the feeling of Christmas are well described.
This is an enjoyable Christmas novella, with love and laughter, and not a lot of conflict, unless you count family squabbling!
