This was such a great science fiction series, one that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was almost nonstop action and lots of suspense as they uncover the true reason behind creating “the perfect human”. Jade Kerrion made her characters extremely realistic. So the novels were easy to get involved in and very difficult to put down. I loved the fact that although it was similar X-Men, the “powers” were a realistic possible human development. This is definitely a 4 star series and worthy read. ( ) The author has done it again. I read through this book in one sitting this morning and I can't wait to read the third book now. The main character Danyeal has so much to give yet everyone seems to take their fears out on him. He is a healer of unparallelled ability and yes has the same ability to hurt but refuses to use it. His shields cause most to have terrible reactions to him and just when you think he has one friend the author strips him away too. While the cruelty to this character is heart wrenching it is also compelling. Jade has made a book that you have to read and makes you want to pick up that third book once you put this one down. Very very talented author deserving more than five stars for sure. Danyael Sabre is an Alpha Empath combined with his medical training he is one of the best empathic healers in the world. His empathy can not only heal though it can also be used to kill, making Danyael the target of the military that will stop at nothing to extort his power for their own. Jade Kerrion has certainly come up with a highly unique and fascinating world. Where people are born and even created with amazing powers. The only problem with this novel is that it does drag on in some places, though this does build the suspense in certain areas and makes the action scenes that much more powerful it can become tedious. Other than this the novel has some amazing action scenes and along with a struggle with morality it is certainly an amazing science fiction novel. I did enjoy this book even with some of the slow spots, Jade Kerrion is a fantastic story teller, creating some of the most poignant and amazing scenes. I know from Perfection Unleashed that Jade Kerrion can do so much better so I am looking forward to the next novel and hopefully we will have more of the epic plot twists I enjoyed so much in book one. HTML:Return to USA Today bestselling author Jade Kerrion's world of the Double Helix - where humans and mutants strive for dominance, and one man's choice will shatter the impasse. He can defeat his enemies, but can he defeat his friends? Danyael Sabre, an object of desire, would much rather not be. An alpha empath by birth, a doctor by training, and an empathic healer by calling, he is stalked by the military that covets his ability to kill, not heal. Bereft of two days of memories, he goes on the run under the protection of an assassin, Zara Itani. The more he uncovers of his lost hours, the more he doubts everything that once anchored him. He knows only that he endangers those around him and that he is falling in love with Zara, who hates him for reasons he no longer remembers. As forces - both powerful and ruthless - threaten those he cares for, Danyael has only two options. He can betray his values and abandon the path of the healer, or he can wait to be betrayed, not by enemies, but by his friends. "Higher octane than Heroes, more heart than X-Men." Read the second novel in the award-winning Double Helix series today. Welcome to the Genetic Revolution!. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
