Unfortunately, the text itself is deeply racist. It contains slurs from multiple cultures and has a random anti-Semitic tangent and says that colonisation was good because it allowed nations to develop talent. I think if it would be rewritten with more modern ideals in terms of tone, it could be a very enjoyable book. Unfortunately, the language takes away a lot of the enjoyment for me. I can usually overlook it if it's just occasionally passing mentions as I am very aware of how much the world has changed over the decades, but there is just so much of it... ( )
