Maxim is a new author for me, and I was pleasantly surprised with this first read. His secondary characters, especially the villains, were much better than his protagonist. I found a fair amount of humor throughout the book, primarily in the characters' dialog. The details about the counterfeit prescription drug business were very interesting. ( )
