It explained what a broad bean is; where, when, and how it is grown; how to go about planting and caring for broad bean plants; and what you can make out of these plants. I liked how this book had bolded vocabulary words. The students would probably not know what these words are on their own, but could use context or pictures to cue them. I loved how it gave step-by-step processes and instructions so we could grow our own broad beans if we wanted to. I would read this to my students when learning about plants and their life cycle. After the story we would brain storm how to grow all different kinds of plants, and then we would plant and grow flowers as a class. Once the flowers sprout I will have my children write about the process of growing a flower and keeping it alive. This book is appropriate for kindergarten to second grade. The text is not that complicated or long and the difficult vocabulary words are bolded and explained by the context and pictures. This book is listed at level L. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
