Funded by a Kickstarter campaign, this full-color comic book is the culmination of Dave K's work so far. Over the years, this long-time self-publisher has explored themes of nostalgia, teen angst, and restless living in boring towns. This book stays true to those themes, and is perhaps Dave's most perfectly realized story yet. As usual, the drawing is stellar, with plenty of wonderful detail to linger over on each page. I also liked how the characters were more developed than in some of his past work.

I've always felt a certain kinship with Dave; we share similar thematic interests, self-published our work for years (he with comics, me with zines), and both became librarians. We don't keep in touch as much as we used to, but I'm really glad I had the chance to contribute in some small way to the publication of this book. It turned out even better than I had hoped. ( )
