This has to have been one of Mo Willems's (Elephant & Piggie, Don't Let the Pigeon...) favorite books when he was growing up.  A little long for the tots who are fans of Willems, but absolutely wonderful for those a little older.  The cartoony illustrations and straightforward fable seem simple at first, but there's a sly wit, and a lot of heart - try rereading this and letting it soak in.
