Ally and Jake thought they finally had it together it was their senior year a they were finally going to have a drama free year. But that didn't turn out so well or as they planed it turns out that Chloe is pregnant and says tat Jake is the father. As it get closer to graduation new secrets are reviled and Ally realizes that maybe Jake is not the guy she thought he was. Can their relationship survive? Read and find out ( )

This really wasn't one of the better books in the trilogy. I had a hard time keeping myself interested enough to actually read it. Ally is just as whiny as ever and Jake is just as clueless. I'm almost tired of reading about teen pregnancy and the twist in this one really ticked me off, and proved just how crass rich *itch teen girls can be. I commend Ally for somewhat being the bigger person in the book, and really Jake stepped up, even at the expense of his relationship, though that all came back to bite him in the butt!

The story ended on a happy note, as most ya books do, though I would like to see if Jake and Ally actually make it work this time around. ( )

I'll give this a 3.5/5.

There wasn't a whole lot going on here besides the Jake and Chloe situation--and I felt like it was super obvious what the outcome of that was going to be before I even started the novel.

But on the other hand, it was nice to see these somewhat petty and self-absorbed characters (Jake and Chloe) learn some major life lessons. It definitely took a while and it was often a frustratingly annoying journey but it was nice to see these characters evolve from the first novel.

If you love juicy teenage drama, this definitely delivers! ( )

This trilogy involved me for most of the way.

Possible spoilers ahead.

I liked Jake and Ally as a couple. But what became obvious was that it was okay for Jake to fool around and be a player. His behavior was bad. His attitude was bad. I thought the author would defy convention and have Ally meet up with someone decent. I was nauseated (yes, it is nauseated and not nauseous) by the need to stick with Jake. The whole interlude with Jake and Chloe was just bad. Ally at first was supportive and then just a doormat. There was nothing romantic about this. Dysfunctional is the word that comes to mind. Nothing healthy here. ( )

Mrs. Beamer's Review:
I was looking forward to reading this trilogy...the book covers drew me in (loved them!)... and I wasn't disappointed. I read all three books in four days :) While nothing earth-shattering happened, the books managed to hold my interest. Honestly, while reading into the early hours of the morning I kept asking myself "why can't I put these books down?"...and I truly couldn't come up with a better answer other than "I want to keep reading them."

I enjoyed the settings and characters. Ms. Scott does a wonderful job describing the different settings...I especially liked the beach house. However, I had a really hard time picturing the characters. Crazy, right?! I think Ally was a brunette? And Jake was model-gorgeous. Other than that, I don't remember anything too specific about the other characters. I love Lincoln and Annie...probably because Ms. Scott does a good job developing them. Or, it could be because they are oddballs and I love oddballs :) Also, my favorite part of the books are Annie's journal entries - HILARIOUS!

I highly recommend these books to female teens. They remind me of the Sweet Valley High books, in a way. I'm sure they will circulate well in my library. These books are a nice escape from reality that don't require deep thinking - sometimes just what you need! I look forward to reading more books by this author.

My Favorite Quote (from book #3): "He turned and looked me directly in the eye. 'If you were my girl, I'd thank anyone who kept you from going splat'."
