I don't understand the negative reviews I have seen on this book. I found it to be most interesting and unexpected. The book, while short, compacts a lot of interesting characters into the story. This is only the second Ty Hutchinson novel that I have read. I believe him to be a author with some humor and an interest to not follow paths in his writing. I am reading Stroganov right now and fine the writing to be very entertaining. Try it - you should like it.Why 4 stars - because the ending was a bit too quick for me. ( )

A short novel about a priest and the confessions of a serial killer/hitman. While I didn't enjoy this one as much as some of Mr. Hutchinson's other books, I thought it was an interesting plot that had a nice little twist at the end. It was a bit of a stretch, but I still liked the book. ( )

Received this book through Give away program at Amazon.

This is the second book I've read by Ty and I have to say it is completely different from the previous, Chop Suey. Lengthwise one cannot really call this a book, it is rather a novella, so do not expect hours of reading from it.

The story is about a Russian priest, his daughter and a hired killer from Siberia. The killer comes to the priest to confess his 99 murders. As a second plot line the daughter of the priest works for a 'free speech' newspaper as well as for the 'opposition' in Russian parliament. During the story the two plots converge leading to a rather surprising end (which I shall not mention as it actually spoils the fun of reading the book).

The story is well written and actually quite nice but rather short. As such I would give the story 4 stars but as a book it is to short (maybe it needs another story?!), therefore I deduct a star. ( )
