A heated rivalry turns to sizzling passion in this beach town romance by the USA Today bestselling author of No Strings Attached.

In the Florida resort town of Barefoot William, kicking off your shoes and baring some skin is as natural as sneaking under the boardwalk for an ice cream cone and stolen kisses. Laid-back Shaye Cates, whose family owns half the boardwalk, runs their businesses by cell phone under a shady umbrella. But Shaye's life isn't all sunshine. The incredibly irksome fly in her coconut tanning oil is steely-eyed Trace Saunders, whose family owns the opposite side of town.

When the two rivals agree to co-run a beach volleyball tournament, the contentious partnership gets all of Barefoot William buzzing. Shaye just wants to play ball, while Trace thinks only of business. But beneath the twinkling lights of the ferris wheel, opposites can attract like surf and sand.

I like Kate Angell, I first found her with a kindle freebie a early in my Kindle reading life. I buy her stuff now. This is a new series, I'll keep reading. Her characters feel like real people. I like the romance between Shaye and Trace, the side stories of Kai and Nicole, and Dune and Sophie a good preview of the next book. I especially loke the parrot Olivia. Funny! ( )

No Tan Lines by Kate Angell
Shaye Cates lives and runs the broadwalk side of the town.
Trace Saunders runs the other well to do side of the town.
Their grandfathers founded the town and always had a feud but both loved fishing.
They made a deal about the volleyball tour that was to take place and each of them has to give a little to make it work.
I really like this book for all the memories and games of years past that I remembered from my own childhood.
Nice to know others also can stop and smell the roses.
How is it possible for each of them to combine their lives when they are at opposite ends. ( )

I thought the book started off well, but ended up being a mess with too many character POVs which really affected the main romance. Full review to come near release date. ( )

A small town divided. A family feud over which way of life is better for their small town...upscale or laid back, business suit or swim suit. Trace and Shaye are forced to overlook their difference of opinions in order to work together on an event for the town. What they soon learn is opposites really do attract...

This would be a good "light" beach read. ( )
