Nice story about learning to get out of your comfort zone.

Larf did a decent job at showing that it is okay to leave your comfort zone and explore new things. It also showed that being nervous about meeting new people and doing new things is completely normal.

4/5 Because of the moral and its importance. Good book for children that are nervous about starting a new activity or the first day of school. ( )

sasquatch story ( )

In this story, Larf is a Sasquatch who enjoys being alone and doesn't want anyone to know that he exists. Then, Larf sees an article in the newspaper that a real Sasquatch is doing an interview in the center of town and he is shocked because he thought he was the only Sasquatch there ever was. Despite all of his anxieties, Larf goes in to town to meet the Sasquatch, but ends up finding out that he is just an impostor. The story ends with Larf meeting another girl Sasquatch and despite all of his fears, inviting her over to dinner. ( )

Well that was cute enough, but it didn't move me enough to inspire me to say anything here about it. ( )

Great read-aloud. Good pictures. Students really enjoy it. Could be used to teach myths to k-2.
