Schaefer first includes directions for making quilts in Skinny Quilts. She covers cutting, piecing, fusible appliqué and more.
My favorite quilt is titled “Leaves” and the parts of the leaves are large, and they are appliquéd to a background and border. The blocks in this quilt measure 16”. I would enjoy making the quilt just because of its simplicity and ease of producing it.
Skinny Quilts is a good book for anyone wanting a fast project or anyone just learning to quilt. The quilts are fun and would good in any contemporary setting.
