One morning all is calm when suddenly a hurricane approaches the island. The sons are playing in the ocean at the time and the family rushes to pack up their belongings and get to the shelter as quickly as possible. In the shelter, which was an old naval barracks, the town is gathered inside. For comfort during the storm, they start to sing Silent Night. When the storm is over, the family goes back to their house to clean up the yard. Lucky their house was still intact. The next morning the brothers are back in the ocean having fun. I really enjoyed this book. This shows how quickly lives can change especially living in an area surrounded by water. ( ) One day two boys went to the beach to snorkel. Their mom began to yell, "Hurricane!!!." They ran back to the house and began packing to leave. They drove to the rain shelter to ride out the hurricane. They sang songs at the shelter so that they would stay calm. They awoke the next day to discover the hurricane was over. Age-5 Source-Classmate sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
