Zorro is amazing. His expressions are just exactly like my pug's expressions. ( )

In this book, Zorro's owner puts a cape and mask on him and all of the other animals make fun of him for it. Then, they go to the park and meet a new dog who thinks Zorro's outfit is really cool, and then they race and Zorro gets second, ahead of his friend Bud, and feels much happier about his outfit.

This is a good example of fantasy because the dogs talk and act like humans which is not possible yet the author makes it believable. ( )

The illustrations for this book are done in watercolor. This book is about a dog getting a costume from his owner and at first not liking it, but soon growing to love it because of the attention he receives from wearing it. Zorro and his friends go to the park and Zorro is first embarrassed but after a new dog shows up in costume and challenges them to a race, he loves his costume. This book is fantasy because dogs are talking to each other but it takes place in a realistic setting. This book could be read by lower grade elementary school students. ( )
